What is Foot Mobilisation Therapy (FMT)?

Foot mobilisation therapy (FMT) is a gentle manual therapy technique used to help realign the position of your foot and ankle. FMT requires a gentle hand on technique to adjust joints and the contracted muscles around it. This helps improve symptoms caused by musculoskeletal conditions and ultimately the functionality of your foot. FMT works in conjunction with prescribed strengthening exercises for the foot and lower limb.

Is there pain during the treatment?

No, however initial FMT sessions can cause some discomfort due to the initial release of contracted structures in the area.

Do I need to change shoes or wear orthotics?

No, the goal of FMT is realign the bones of your feet naturally without the use of external devices or change of footwear.
